Project Experience

PPS started in 1975 by focusing on small urban areas. 47 states, 26 countries nearly 2000 communities later, the focus grew to include a wide range of spaces, from civic squares to regional public transportation, from national parks to federal buildings in local communities, and more. Page through our projects for a quick look at how Placemaking worked for different public spaces, and feel free to contact Sandy Pan or Robin Lester if you would like more information about a project, or to talk about a project in your community.

Below is a sample of projects from the almost 2000 communites where we have worked. Also, take a look at our Greatest Hits--highlights from PPS's first 30 years that stand out for their lasting influence.
