Corner of East 5th St and Ft Hamilton Pkwy

My project idea is...

Put astroturf on the field at the corner of E. 5th St. and Ft Hamilton Pkwy. This yard is heavily used for sports. Astroturf would make it a more ideal place to play and does not require maintenance.

So that people could... 

It would provide a green area for sports such as soccer, baseball, cricket and flag football instead of having to play on asphalt.

Provide garbage recepticals, not plastic bags, for containing food debris outside the public schools so that garbage is not strewn throughout our streets which provide meals for vermin everyday.

Get rid of and prevent pigeons from roosting in the overpass to the subway entrance on south side of F & G at Ft Hamilton. The are unsanitary, smell and make a mess.
