Possibly in the newly reopened Park Slope Branch of the BPL, on 8th St & 6th Ave.

My project idea is...

a community co-working space for freelance artists, designers, writers, and others who usually work at home or in coffee shops.

So that people could... 

be more productive, less isolated, network, and exchange ideas while they work.

On streets along 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Avenues and in the sidestreets bordering them., 0.03 Kms

Install reading and resting benches along 6th avenue. As one of the quieter avenues, it would be wonderful to have places to read, rest, and enjoy the neighborhood without having to go to the park.

Anywhere along 6th avenue between 9th and 16th streets, 0.09 Kms

I would make the sidewalks safer, particularly on the side streets. There are places with literal holes in them, perfect for catching a foot and spraining or breaking a limb, as well as uneven slate.

e.g. 7 St between 5 and 6 Ave., even-numbered side, about two-thirds down the block. I would be glad to join a team to map the worst spots in the Slope that are city responsibilities (private homes), 0.11 Kms

Improve lighting at corner of 7th Ave & 9th St because the intersecting 2-way streets are wide, cars take the turns fast, and presently it's hard to see them coming at night.

Corner of 7th Ave & 9th St, 0.14 Kms

Repair/replace the tile work in the subway station for the F train at 7th Avenue and 9th Street. It appears to be water damaged. It would be great if the repair project could include public art.
