Corner of Smith and Garnet Street, 9th street, and extending to the Red Hook waterfront

My project idea is...

Remove the metal recycle dump; clear up the intersection; provide footbridge and bikepath across to extend the Brooklyn waterfront developments to Gowanus and to the upcoming Smith&9th subway

So that people could... 

use the new subway to connect to the waterfront developments in Red Hook. Most importantly it would remove a polluting factor, improve the environs through beautification, create an overall upgrade linking the new subway station to the greatly improved waterfront developments. There will definitely be socio-economic and environmental advantages to this project
