My idea to improve this place

Charge less for parking. 10 to 20 dollars for Fiesta is INSANE! It is even more by the Rivercenter Mall. Local people avoid downtown because they do not want to pay for parking.

So that people could... 

Enjoy the many sites and restaurants downtown.

Because I want San Antonio to be...

Not just for visitors. Locals should be able to enjoy downtown, but parking costs are prohibitive for most of us.

Turn the Institute of Texan Cultures into a centerpiece for Hemisfair the way the Met is for Central Park. Build a more attractive building that opens up right onto Durango.

Build an outdoor pedestrian / bike-in movie theatre somewhere in an empty lot in downtown that shows current release films. Of course you would have to have food available.
