We are excited to announce the release of our 2019 annual report! Project for Public Spaces had a jam-packed year of helping people around the world strengthen their communities through public space.
Here is a quick glimpse of what is inside:
We worked with over 50 communities on placemaking projects this year, and partnered with generous foundations and corporate social responsibility programs, like the William Davidson Foundation, the Live Mutual Project, GAF, and Southwest Airlines, to give more people in more places the opportunity to shape their public spaces.
Across two major conferences, we convened over 900placemakers and public market leaders to learn from one another and experience the great cities of London, UK, and Chattanooga, TN.
Looking ahead, we launched two new initiatives that will continue into 2020: Portals to Places, which focuses on improving the public realm around transit stops and stations; and Market Cities, which aims to support regional market systems through new policies, programs, investments, and governance.
If you like what you read, and you believe that public space is the foundation of a healthy society, we hope that you will support our mission with a year-end donation to Project for Public Spaces.
