Project for Public Spaces’ Community Placemaking Grants with General Motors will open on Thursday, January 9th.
The program offers three nonprofits or public agencies and municipalities in Georgia, Michigan, New York, Ohio, and Texas $100,000 each in direct funding to transform key public spaces into lively community hubs that improve street safety and mobility. The grants will also include placemaking technical assistance and capacity building from our team.
Join us on Thursday, January 9th at 12pm ET for an info session to learn more about the application process, the ideal candidate for this program, and for an opportunity to ask questions.
In this informational webinar, the Project for Public Spaces team will go over:
We'll also answer questions from participants about the application process and grant opportunity.
We strongly encourage potential applicants to review the Community Placemaking Grants page in full.

Public spaces are key to health, social connection, and resilience. Yet many communities lack access or have little say in how their public spaces are designed, programmed, and managed. Project for Public Spaces’ Community Placemaking Grants aim to help address this inequality by supporting public space transformation projects that engage and improve the experience of underserved members of the community.
